Lola's Anthem: Hello Cold World!

People ask all the time, "What song like, uhh describes your life?" and I've always thought, music can describe a feeling, maybe capture a moment but never "describe" my life...until now. With only just my 20th birthday days away, I think its safe to say I may have gotten a 2 year head start. They say our twenties will

be the best of times and the worst. It's a time of discovery and confusion, knowing who you want to be, but too young to know who you really are. Knowing where you want to go, but struggling to find that path to take you there. And let's not forget the distress of failed plans our parents and high school teachers pressured us to make... "She who fails to plan, plans to fail"  Well what happens when my plans fail, MOM!? Now what? Though at the same time we are still so wide-eyed and optimistic. We have youth, beauty and the freedom to be selfish, unrealistic and a little outrageous. With all its ups and downs, I'm sure the next 10 years will be the ride of a lifetime.

I never thought I'd hear a song that would so accurately embody this chaotic time in my life, but the fact that it comes from the lips of Hayley Williams is no surprise. She is the voice of our generation.

"I feel happy, I feel sad
I feel like running through the walls
I'm overjoyed, I'm undecided
I don't know who I am
Well, maybe I'm not perfect, at least I'm workin' on it,
22 is like the worst idea that I have ever had
It's too much pain, it's too much freedom
What should I do with this?
it's not the way you plan it
It's how you make it happen
Yeah, it's how you make it happen"

Give it a listen below:
